This one was a request from a friend of mine who's into Norse mythology. Odhinn/Odin/Wodan is the Norse All-Father and lord of lightning and wisdom.

:looks good. i love norse mythology. needs a bkrnd though, thats kinda stark white to all of a sudden have a shadow on. great colours too, didja use coloured pencils first then touch up in adobe?

Agree with crushed-melon on the shadow... but all in all great drawing! Odin is one of the few Norse Gods I do know and to me he looks exactly the way I imagined him to.
Got some fine skills there too, good job :rose:

I did think about doing a background, but I wanted to keep it simple and the focus on Odhinn. And no, I didn't touch it up - all I did was add the border and lettering for the title & my sig using PSP. Other than that (and a little bit of eraser work where a few loose color bits got picked up by the scanner :P ) it's pure pencils.

Thanks! The friend who I did this for had the same reaction. I was afraid she'd dropped offline, she was quiet so long! Turns out she was just too stunned by the resemblance to her mental image to type. :giggle:
